Services Offered

Dental Implants

Nothing can take place of a healthy set of natural teeth. But if you have missing teeth and want a solution that is close to your natural teeth as possible, dental implants are the modern day best option for you. Implants have been used for more than a quarter century.

It is an ancient art refined and now its use is quite easy and predictable. Implants are posts or cylinders, which are surgically placed in the upper or lower jaws where they function as a sturdy anchor for replacement teeth. They are made of Titanium, a strong, lightweight metal, and are readily accepted by the human body.

Braces

Braces are now easier than ever, whether the patient is a child or an adult, and often is more comfortable and takes less time than it did years ago. Orthodontic treatment is used to correct a bad bite. This condition, known as a malocclusion, involves teeth that are crowded or crooked . In some cases, the upper and lower jaws may not meet properly and although the teeth may appear stratight, the individual may have an uneven bite. Protruding, crowded or irregularly spaced teeth and jaw problems may be inherited. Thum-sucking , losing teeth prematurely and accidents also can lead to those conditions.

Correcting the problem can create a nice – looking smile, but more important, orthodontic treatment results in a healthier mouth. That’s because crooked and crowded teeth make cleaning the mouth difficult. Down the road, this can lead to tooth decay, gum disease and possibly tooth loss. An improper bite can iterfere with chewing and speaking, can cause abnormal wear to tooth enamel, and can lead to problems with jaws.

Braces (also called Orthodontic appliances) can be as inconspicuos as the patient desires. Brackets, the part of the braces that attach to to each tooth may be made up of metal or ceramic. Ceramic braces are the material of choice for a lot of patients. They are less noticeable and if the patient wants, different colored rings can be used for that bright and vibrant smile.

Crowns & Bridges

A crown is a dental restoration that covers or ‘caps’ a tooth to restore it to its normal shape, size and function. Its purpose is to strengthen or improve the appearance of a tooth.

A bridge is a dental restoration that replaces or ‘bridges’ the space where one or more teeth have been lost. Bridge can be supported in many ways:

Through natural teeth

Through implants

Through a combination of natural teeth and implants

Types of crowns & bridges

In modern day dentistry, there is a wide variety of dental materials to choose from. Porcelain fused to metal crowns have a metal inner core to which porcelain or ceramic is fused. However these crowns are more susceptible to chipping or breaking off. After some time these crowns begin to show dark gum line that are not esthetically attractive. All porcelain (ceramic) or ’metal free’ crowns are the best choice since they provide the best natural color match. They are less susceptible to chipping, don’t show dark gum lines and nowadays are stronger and durable.

Child Teeth

As our daily lives seem busier and faster-paced than ever, one phrase comes to mind: The future is now. Children’s oral healthcare habits today will have an impact on their health as an adult.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening, also referred to as Dental Bleaching, is a procedure which helps reverse the discoloration of teeth.

Types of teeth discolorations or staining

Extrinsic - Improper brushing or intake of certain beverages like tea/ coffee can cause stains to accumulate on the surface of teeth. Over time these stains calcify and become yellow colored deposits. Professional cleaning or scaling can help get rid of these stains and deposits.

Intrinsic - There are certain discolorations which are internal in nature and cannot be helped with simple cleaning. In such cases teeth whitening is a good, effective and safe option.

Reasons that discolor teeth

Exposure to certain foods and beverages over time like tea, coffee, red wine, cola, tobacco, gutkha, paan masala, supaari, etc.

Genetics discoloured teeth is a trait that runs in the family.

Improper brushing habits and poor oral hygiene.

Aging.

Trauma or injury to teeth.

Smoking.

Ingesting more than optimal amounts of fluoride or certain drugs like tetracycline while teeth are developing, before they erupt.

Imaging

Digital X-ray

Digital intra oral x-ray machine is used specially for different dental procedures making them less time consuming. They also allow for instant x ray in front of the patient and give out less radiation dose as compared to conventional x-ray.

OPG

OPG, commonly known as Panorex or full mouth radiograph gives a complete image of all the teeth and jaw bones thereby enabling the doctors to diagnose better.

CBCT

We have the state of the art in house digital Cone Beam CT. The CBCT gives 3 Dimensionalview of the various bony structures and teeth which helps in diagnosis and treatment planning in Implants, Orthodontics and impacted teeth.
